July 2019 marked the end of our first year as husband and wife. It's been an exciting first year, to say the least. Besides reminscing on the lessons we've learned (which we'll share in other posts eventually), we came across some interesting finds in July. So, if you're looking for some new things to check out, here's our list of recommendations from our July adventures.
What's good on netflix?
Looking for something to watch on Netflix?
Formula 1: Drive to Survive.
You're welcome. Andrel liked to play this game of randomly press play on random Netflix shows that pop up, so we landed on this riveting docuseries. Ask us what we knew about Formula 1 before pressing play: we knew absolutely nothing. Ask us what we know now: we need to see more of Lewis Hamilton's dominance; Red Bull is incredibly salty that Renault poached Daniel Ricciardo from right under their nose; and Esteban Ocon not being picked up hurt us.
That's how invested we got, and we don't regret it. You need to watch it now.
What's on repeat through the car speakers?
Easy. Gold Roses by Rick Ross featuring Drake.
It is absolutely no secret that Kryzia is obsessed with Drake, but a Rozay and Drizzy collaboration is just the best combination. When Drake wants to drop bars like:
Mentally I'm already on next year, that's some 20/20 clear vision/You sayin' let you finish, I ain't tryna hear it/I'm all for spiritual liftin', but I don't fly Spirit/I'm all for findin' happiness, but down to die serious/All smiles, Kevin Durant trials/Had to blow it on the court, I must have blew a milli'/I'm walkin' on all charges, that's my new Achilles
We feel it, so we bump it.
Looking for a podcast to listen to?
Malcolm Gladwell. Revisionist History. Puzzle Rush.
In the first episode of its fourth season, Malcolm challenges his assistant Camille to the Law School Admissions Test. He gets halfway through, panics, runs out of time, and wonders: why does the legal world want him to rush?"
The podcast's goal is simple: "re-examine something from the past—an event, a person, an idea, even a song—and ask whether we got it right the first time. Because sometimes the past deserves a second chance."
When in vegas?
Eat at Esther's Kitchen.
Off the strip. Open late. Delicious food.
Those are just a few of the gems we discovered in July. Tune in on the first Thursday of every month to discover what we stumbled across the month before that we just found so incredibly shareable.
